Conference Update – 2026
 

Dear VPA Members,

 

I am writing to share an important update regarding our annual conference. The American Polygraph Association has notified us that they will no longer be supporting our event. As a result, there will not be a formal APA/ VPA conference held this year. The VPA Board is actively exploring alternative training opportunities to ensure our membership continues to have access to high‑quality professional development. We will share additional details as these options are finalized.

 

In the meantime, we want to make members aware of an upcoming training opportunity offered by Keystone Polygraph Training. They will be conducting a Post‑Conviction Sexual Offender Testing (PCSOT) course from November 16–20, 2026, at the Maryland State Police facility in Hagerstown. The course is APA recognized and taught by experienced instructors with extensive backgrounds in PCSOT, ICAC investigations, and sex‑offender psychology. We also want to remind members that we have not yet received all membership dues for the current cycle. Membership revenue is an essential part of the Association’s ability to provide training opportunities, support professional development, and plan future conferences. If you have not yet submitted your dues, we respectfully ask that you do so at your earliest convenience.

 

Looking ahead, our primary focus will shift toward planning a full conference experience for 2027. We are committed to delivering a strong, well‑supported event and will keep the membership informed as planning progresses.

 

The board is diligently working to overcome these obstacles. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Association.
